Friends

.

To realize my idea of lustre

I planted them in fertile soil -

And blessed them with my wishes and hopes -

All those shrubs and trees in my garden.

.

With love I irrigate and nourish them;

Admiring them as they bloom;

On pedestals of hope they flourish –

All the shrubs and trees in my garden.

.

Weed and parasites get nip in the bud

Only forces of nature I cannot forestall -

Because of storms I have lost

some shrubs and trees in my garden.

.

True to my idea of lustre

I have chosen my friends one by one -

Admiring them as they bloom

in the corners of my heart.

.

Fey in the sea

Fey in the waves of the sea

I rollick about for all to see.

Am I twelve or am I fifty?

Age is relative in the waves of the sea.

.

Fey in the waves of the sea

I laugh and scream for all to hear -

Am I a boisterous child

or a wise old lady?

.

Fey in the waves of the sea

I fight and fall and flee -

Subjected to the current

of many underrated waves.

.

Fey in the waves of life

we live and love and become

models intact in the hearts

of our beloveds and friends.

.

Life is like the sea

with waves we cannot create,

control or count. Slightly insane!

We’re all models in the waves of life.

.
