Dictionaries define encouragement as the act of giving hope or support to someone. Of course, this is what encouragement is. However, according to my perspective on hope, a desire paralysed by reality, encouragement is much more than only giving hope and support. To rest on our laurels and ‘hope for the best’ is surely not the ‘hope’ of those who are spending their precious time in encouraging us. Surely they expect us to actively achieve whatever they believe we are able to accomplish. Just contemplate
some of the synonyms of encouraging: advocate, promote, boost, urge, prompt, propel...
So, suffice it to say that encouragement is much more than the act of giving hope or support. I see encouragement as a powerful human force that ignites and feeds DESIRE in the minds of others until that desire explodes into action, the action of accomplishing something.
I would like to call Maria, Angelia and Shauna my P.P.’s.... my ‘personal propellers’.

Please read my hub about encouragement and if you agree, please like it. By doing this, you will literally pay the proverbial pennies for my thoughts.
I thank you in anticipation :)
